About The Artist

It is difficult to imagine a life without making things. Some of my earliest memories are of sewing doll clothes with my gramma or making doll furniture with my grampa. As an adult, with a BA in studio art and a trade degree in applied upholstery, playing with fabric and color has become my life's work.

Onefishpillows started with a lumbar pillow I fashioned after the goldfish cracker. The name is inspired by one of my favorite books by Dr. Suess, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish which exclaims: "Say! what a lot of fish there are..."continually reminding me that the design possibilities are endless!

To live and work in Fountain City in western Wisconsin means both my home and studio are situated on The Great River Road, looking out at the Mighty Mississippi River.

From the bright spring green of budding willows to the rich reds of turning sumac; from the earthy shades in the rocky outcropping of the river bluffs to the ever changing light on the water I am continually finding inspiration in the glorious landscape that surrounds me.
